Review: Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

Oh gosh! I promised to release a new review yesterday but never got the chance to take pictures for it until today. EXTREMELY SORRY! I have been really busy with junior year. Junior year will be the most stressful year out of my whole high school life due to all the college preps and needing to finish all my credits so my senior year wouldn't be so dreadful. Hope I do well! =]

Anyway, today I will be doing my first review on my all time favorite BB Cream! I am actually very excited to do a review on BB creams because I'm personally a huge fan of BB Creams and I want to share my experience with it and also hits and misses with different BB Cream brands I have tried.

So the BB cream I will be reviewing today will be one of my all time favorite BB cream : Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream.

Missha is a famous cosmetics company based in South Korea, which, among many other skincare products, offers a wide selection of BB Creams. Usually BB Creams are only available in one, or maybe two shades to fit your skin tone, but most are leaning more towards the lighter fairer shade. The M Perfect Cover B Cream provides these following shades:

#13 Bright Beige
#21 Light Beige
#23 Natural Beige
#31 Golden Beige (this one is pretty new)

I purchased #23 because I am an Asian girl whose skin-tone is slightly tanned but with more of a yellow undertone. In MAC cosmetics, I would be a NC25-30.

This BB Cream is a multi-functional cream, promising to be / provide the following things :

Enhances skin shade
Anti-wrinkle cream
Conceals blemishes
UVA+UVB protection
Moisturizing
Makeup base
Foundation
Whitening

I have to admit, this BB Cream do live up to what it promises but I really don't see how this BB Cream is also an anti-wrinkle cream. I just don't see how that work. Also if you use this as a makeup-base, and apply a layer of foundation over it, the result must be truly horrible. But, I must admit, the coverage is amazing. Most BB Creams out there in the market only provides light to medium coverage, this BB Cream actually provides a good medium to full coverage. So the 2 words "Perfect Cover" really does suit this BB Cream well.

Swatches & How to Use:

I drew a line with my bare escentuals eye liner to show you
how well the coverage of Missha BB Cream really are.

Here I began blending the BB Cream in. As you can see, the grey under-
tone is very visible and it looks like it's nothing close to my skin tone.

This is how the BB Cream looks when it's fully blended in with your skin. The
eyeliner line is barley visible and it gave my skin a dewy finish. Here I would
suggest you to let it oxidize for 20-30 minutes.

Here is an comparison photo between one hand with BB Cream
and the other bare. The left picture is my hand with the BB Cream and after
25minutes of oxidizing. The right photo is my hands bare with no products on.
As you can see, the hand with Missha BB Cream looks more brighter and radiant
with a slight dewy look.

When you first apply this BB cream, you will definitely say to yourself "why is it so grey on me?!?!" Don't worry, you are not the only one. The first time I applied this BB cream on my face, I immediately love the texture, how easy it goes on your face and the scent. However, when it's on my skin, it made me look super pale even though the #23 suppose to fit me perfectly. Then I did some research and from reading Jen's blog (jenfrmheadtotoe), I understood that I really need the BB cream to oxidize. If I went out the house without waiting at least 30 minutes of oxidizing, I would range around a NC10. Which is nothing close to my skin tone.

Sadly, all makeup products have a down side to them. Some can be because the makeup's packaging is horrible quality or the benefits it promises doesn't really show results. Sadly, if you have oily skin, this BB cream will be your biggest drag of the day. I personally have oily/combo skin which means I shouldn't be using this BB cream. I definitely have to blot once a day and my t-zone, cheeks and chin will become very shiny throughout the day. MISSHA! IF YOU EVER READ THIS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE AN OIL-CONTROL BB CREAM!

In conclusion, I love this BB cream very much. Such amazing coverage and I love the scent. Similar to the Johnson's baby lotion. I don't know about you, but I absolutely love that scent. Definitely go out and give it a try. Ranges about $20-$30 depending where you purchase it. I purchased mine from Macau, China which cost me around $140 Macau Pataca (MOP) which is about $18 USD.

Further questions? Feel free to leave a comment below and I will try to answer your questions the best I can.

P.S. Do you like how I arranged all the photos and descriptions? Should I do more post with these kinds of arrangements or should I go back to the regular formatting?
